Overview
When a user logs into the Sentinel system, they are presented with three main sections: My Dashboard, My Resources, and Profile. Within the My Resources section, there is a tab called My Files. This section functions as a personal library of information and is a place to store their own files and documents.
Uploading Files
To upload a file to My Files:
1. Click on the My Files tab.
2. In the top right corner, select the Upload Files button.
3. Add a title and description for the file.
4. Click the plus button (+) to select a file from your laptop, computer, or mobile device.
5. Press Upload.
The file will undergo an automatic virus scan. It must pass this scan before it can be used on the system.
File Status and Management
After uploading, the status of the file will be displayed:
- If the file passes the virus scan, the status will turn green and clear.
- If the file contains a virus, it will be quarantined, and the administrator may be alerted.
From the My Files screen, you can view:
- The size of the file.
- The date it was uploaded.
- The title and description, which can be edited.
- A preview of the file.
- Options to download the file.
Additional Features
A search function is available in the top right corner to help organize and locate files. To delete a file, use the Delete button, which will remove it from your library.
Cloud-Based Library
The My Files section provides a cloud-based library within the Sentinel system. This library allows you to store, access, and share files. These files can be distributed and shared in other areas of the system, making information readily accessible as soon as you log in.
This is the My Files section, offering a comprehensive and efficient way to manage your documents on Sentinel.
