When resetting the password for your Sentinel account its important to remember that you will not be automatically logged out of the iOS or Android Sentinel apps. In this situation you will need to manually logout of the Sentinel app and then login with your current details. This will allow you to access the app and view documents etc.
Here are instructions on how to logout of Sentinel apps for iOS and Android.
iOS
Method 1
Here is the most common method for logging out an iOS Sentinel app.
- Open your organisations iOS Sentinel app.
- Tap on the 'Documents' tab.
- Press the 'logout' link (top right hand corner of the 'Documents' section).
- Finally log back into the app with the correct username and current password.
Method 2
If your organisation have disabled the ability to logout from within the app you will need to follow the below steps.
- Open your organisations iOS Sentinel app, then open the iOS Settings app.
- Scroll down the settings page, where the list of installed apps appear, and tap on your organisations iOS Sentinel app.
- Settings associated with your organisations iOS Sentinel app will appear.
- Under the Authentication section tap the logout option .
- Now re-open your organisations iOS Sentinel app, when the app is re-opened you will be logged out of the app.
- Finally log back into the app with the correct username and current password.
Android
Here are instructions on how to logout of an Android Sentinel app.
- Open your organisations Android Sentinel app.
- Press the 'hamburger' menu located in the top left corner of the Android app.
- Press the 'Logged In' option.
- Confirm you would like to logout of the app.
- Finally log back into the app with the correct username and current password.
