When a private Hotline is created a PIN is generated which allows callers with the correct PIN to access and listen to the Hotline message. At some point in the future the PIN for a Hotline may need to change i.e. a member of staff who had access to the Hotline has left the company.
To view the existing PIN for a private Hotline please follow theses steps.
- Visit the Hotline dashboard. Its worth noting that any private Hotline will have a padlock icon next to it.
- Then select the 'view' link for the private Hotline you wish to see the PIN for.
- For the 'PIN' section click on the eye icon or asterisks.
- The PIN will revealed.
To change the existing PIN for a private Hotline please follow theses steps.
- Visit the Hotline dashboard. Its worth noting that any private Hotline will have a padlock icon next to it.
- Then select the 'view' link for the private Hotline you wish to see the PIN for.
- Select the 'PIN' tab in the HOTLINE ACTIONS section.
- Either enter your own PIN OR press the 'Generate Pin' button and Hotline will generate a PIN.

- PIN must be 8 digits.
- PIN must be numeric

- Press the 'Update' button.
The PIN will now be updated and callers will need to use the new PIN to access and listen to the Hotline message.
