A user who has a padlock next to their name is a system admin. To delete this type of user will require another system admin to action the following steps.
Before an admin user can delete another admin user, the admin permission needs to be downgraded for the account that needs to be deleted.
- Log into Sentinel system.
- Click on the 'System' tab and the 'System Users' link.
- Find the user in the user table and select the view button.
- Go to Permissions tab and select 'No' for 'System administrator'.
- Press button labelled 'Save changes'.
Once the above has been actioned the user can be deleted from the system in usual manner.
- Click on the 'System' tab and the 'System Users' link.
- Find the user in the user table and press the delete button.
- The user will have been soft deleted.
- To permanently remove the user, click on the 'System' tab and the 'Restore System Users' link.
- Find the user in the restore user table and press the delete button.
- The system will then ask for confirmation that the user should be removed from the system.
The user will be permanently deleted from the system.
