After user creation, details will exist within the system and users are able to access the system normally (depending on individual user permissions). However they will initially be marked as unverified. In order for the user to confirm their details, verification emails can be sent. Verification emails can be sent on an individual basis or in bulk.
A verification link is active for 24 hours from when the verification message is sent. Once the 24 hours has elapsed the link is deactivated. If the user has not verified themselves during the 24 hours a new verification message will need to be sent.
Here are steps on how to send a verification message to an individual user:
- Click on the 'System' tab and the 'System Users' link.
- Press the view button for the user whose permissions you wish to change.
- Then navigate to the 'Verification' section of the users profile page.
- Press the blue button labelled 'Send verification'. This will send the verification message by email and SMS to the user.
Here are steps on how to bulk send verification messages to many users:
- Click on the 'System' tab and the 'System Users' link.
- On the user table click the blue button labelled "Send Bulk Verification".
- This will then pop up a modal box which shows you the options available for verification methods.
- From this modal box you will select the delivery method for the verification message either SMS or Email or both.
- Press the user user type you wish to receive the verification message. Once pressed the system will send the verification messages.
Here is a brief description of each user type.
Send to all: All users in the user table will receive the verification message
Send to non-verified: All users who have not yet verified themselves will receive the verification message
Send to selected: User that have been selected before clicking the Send Bulk Verification button will receive the verification message
