To review your companies iOS Sentinel app before its submitted to the App Store we will send over a test (ad-hoc) version of the iOS app.
To allow the ad-hoc app to install on your iOS device we will need the device's UDID number, here are instructions on how to get this info from your device.
Here are steps on how to get a UDID using the above service.
- Go to this website in the iOS browser https://get.udid.io/
- Tap the green button called "Tap to find UDID".
- Press 'Allow' for the configuration profile to download.
- Profile will be download, press the 'close' button.
- Go to the iOS settings app.
Depending on what model of iPhone/iPad the user has, this will dictate where the profile is stored. Try either of the below options
In the iOS settings app there is an option called Profile & Device Management, on a iPhoneX this setting was located in ‘General’ settings area. Tap within that section will be a profile called ‘Get Your UDID’ profile.
Or
In the iOS settings app, search for ‘Profile Downloaded’ Apple place the Profile section in different areas depending on what iOS or device is being used. Tap within that section and there will be a profile called ‘Get Your UDID’ profile.
Once either of the two options above has been actioned:
Tap the profile and select the option to install this profile and you should be re-diverted back to the website (get.udid.io) and the UDID will be displayed. Sometimes the first attempt at installing the profile dosenot seem to work so you may need to attempt to install the profile a second time.
